What "for sensitive skin" means at IKI
The label is used loosely across the industry. Here it means five specific things: no synthetic fragrance, no sulfates, no drying alcohol, no mineral oil or silicones, and a full ingredient list on every product page so you can check for your own triggers. Kirei and Iro contain a trace of lemon oil for a light natural scent; Izumi and Kido are completely fragrance-free; Gaman is scented only with lavender, manuka and orange essential oils. We say which is which because "sensitive" is not one thing.
Tested on sensitive skin, not just labelled for it
Kirei, Iro, Kido, Izumi and Gaman each went through an independent 30-day consumer study by The Good Face Project in 2025, on people with self-reported sensitive skin using the product daily at home. 232 participants in total; no adverse events reported. Kirei also passed a dermatologist-supervised 48-hour patch test on 27 people with no reaction. Every statement and every percentage is published on the study results page, including the ones that are not flattering.
